Some fantastic news from OLM and Class Jarlath! Following on from the great success that was the Mile Challenge (you can read about it here in our other blog post), Class Jarlath had an even more wonderful donation for CMRF Crumlin! Ms. Hall, CSPE teacher to Class Jarlath and Head of the Sports Department in OLM, ran the Dublin Marathon. On the run up to the event, Ms. Hall had set up a donation page for people to pledge money to this very worth while cause. With the student’s help of spreading the word they raised an incredible amount of money – €1,432.10

The students were absolutely beaming as they handed over the donation to the hospital. It was an incredible achievement for Ms. Hall and the students and the sense of pride was abundant. Not to be forgotten was the extraordinary work done by the Sports Council of OLM who helped Ms. Hall and the CSPE class along the way. Sinéad Nolan from CMRF was on hand to accept the cheque from the students and titled them “Little Heroes” for all the work they put in to raising this spectacular amount of money.

As a result of their valiant effort, the students of the 3rd year class will be recognised at the Christmas Awards Ceremony where they will be presented with a certificate to honour all the hard work they put in as well as to convey the appreciation from CMRF and the appreciation from the staff and students of OLM. This is just one more example of the incredible and worthwhile work that the students of our school do on a daily basis and is just a drop in the pond compared to the sensational work that they will continue to do as they grow with us here in OLM and when they graduate from our halls. A truly inspirational feat #olmfamily #cmrf
