Aaron Rock one of our Transition Year Students attended the Irish Museum of Modern Art from 23rd – 26th February. Aaron has written an appraisal of his week in the programme below.

My week in IMMA

I got chosen to take part in a TY course in IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art). It is a course that IMMA run once a week every year and any Transition Year student can apply. I applied within the school by writing an essay on why I should be chosen and I gave it to Ms.O’Neill. During my week in IMMA I learned about Modern Art and art techniques. I looked at some of the work done by Irish Artist Grace Moore. I also learned all the jobs that go on in IMMA like the tech crew who install all the work and the event planners who plan events like the concerts that happen on the grounds. Overall I had a great time and it made me realise that I wouldn’t mind working in the Fine Arts.
