Our TY’s have been working towards the Pope John Paul II Awards this year. 48 students from TY have applied for the award, the most of any school in Dublin. The students have organised and led our November Remembrance service, along with an advent service before Christmas. They have just this week taken part in a Baptismal Renewal service this week. They have also been involved in fundraising initiatives such as Crazy hair day in the school.
To complete the award they will be going over to the primary school for four one hour sessions to work with the sixth class boys and girls and teach them about Confirmation. They will also be involved in local community care and parish work around caring for the earth. The award will finish off with a pilgrimage walk in Glendalough.
We are very proud of our TY’s who have taken on this award in a great spirit and we look to them receiving their award from the archdiocese this coming November.
We would also like to thank Fr. Dave in the church who has been a great help and support to us and the students this year and to Ms. Chambers who has kindly helped us with events.

Mr. Jenkins and Ms. Irwin – RE team.
